Wealth Directions, Enhancements & Rituals
In feng shui, there are various ways we can activate and enhance wealth. And none of them have anything to do with enhancing the far left “wealth corner”. That’s an over simplified Westernized school of feng shui that uses a fixed bagua.
In fact, there’s not just one, but many areas in our homes and on our properties that we can activate and enhance to create and build wealth. Some wealth activations are general for the house. Some wealth enhancements are more specific for the year. And some wealth rituals can be customized for your personal feng shui element!
Wealth Directions
In feng shui, we use a bagua, which has eight areas that are represented by directions, elements and symbols or trigrams. We overlay a nine square or eight sector energy blueprint on the property digram and house floorpan. Then, we mark the eight directions so we can determine where the lines fall within the rooms of our home. I provide instructions on how to do this in my Annual DIY Feng Shui Guide.
Wealth & Prosperity
The Southeast direction is associated with the Soft Wood element. It represents the Life Center of Wealth & Prosperity. This energy can be activated and enhanced with natural elements like evergreen trees and a water fountain outside and blue, purple and red colors inside. It’s also an excellent area to place a bamboo plant or money tree with amethyst inside the pot on top of the soil.
Cash Flow
The North is the direction associated with the Water element. This area represents your Career & Life Path. This energy can be activated and enhanced with a water fountain or feature. If you have a waterfall, make sure it flows toward your house or door, not away from it. In your home or office, the North is a good place to display the tools of the trade you use in your work. If you have an entrance in the North, you can create a meandering path or have a long black mat leading to the front door.
Wealth Enhancements
In classical feng shui, we update our remedies and enhancements each year in January. There are two wealth energies that we can activate and enhance by placing items in the room where those energies are visiting for the year. Wealth Bowl
Each year, we can enhance the potential for BIG Money with a Wealth Bowl. Make a Wealth Bowl by selecting a decorative metal bowl and filling it with gold coins and ingots, crystals and crystal balls, a picture of you smiling, or a business card that has your picture on it, symbols of wealth, a check from the Universe and a thank you letter to Source/Universe for the wealth you already have and prosperity you enjoy.
Money Vase
Each year, the Money Chi moves to a new gua or area/room of your home. You’ll want to select a beautiful porcelain or ceramic vase to place in this area. Make sure to leave the vase empty to hold space and collect the money chi.
Wealth Areas
There are two areas in your home that you can activate to enhance your personal wealth and prosperity. The first is your personal feng shui element’s Wealth & Success gua. The second is your personal Lucky Money Spot.
Personal Wealth Gua
In addition to having a wealth bowl as an annual enhancement for the entire home, you can create a personal wealth bowl to place in your personal element’s Wealth & Success gua of your home or office. Lucky Money Spot
Also called the Cosmic Saving Account, this precise location in your home is based on the Heavenly Stems system of Chinese astrology. You can discover your Lucky Money Spot and the specific color and material for the decorative Personal Prosperity Bowl to place there in your Personal Prosperity Guide. To activate, just deposit coins or spare change into your prosperity bowl on a daily basis.
Wealth Ritual
Sometimes called a Money Jar, this wealth ritual can activate your intention to manifest wealth, prosperity, abundance, cash flow, multiple streams income and financial success. You can select a container that resonates with your personal feng shui element. And you can fill it with elements and items that are specific to your dreams and desires.
